Proceed through here, going up the stairs and past the building and into the tunnel. Follow this path, and it will lead into a poison swamp area, with a building.
Step 8 - From the Profaned Capital bonfire, jump down to the lower floor of the building you appear in, and walk through a cracked wall. Look inside one of the windows to see Siegward. Kill him, then jump to the bottom floor where the rats are. Step 7 - Before killing Aldrich, head down into Irithyll Dungeon, and proceed through the area until you reach the giant. Talk to him until he has nothing left to say. Continue on, into the sewer and up into the kitchen. From here, head down through the area filled with invisible enemies until you reach the water. Step 6 - After reaching Irithyll, you will find the Church of Yorshka bonfire. Step 5 - Once you have Siegward's armor, return to the well he is stuck in and throw it to him. If not, proceed to the Unbreakable Patches page to learn how to turn him into a merchant, and purchase the armor. If you want, just kill him now, and you can obtain Siegwards armor. Here you will find Patches dressed up as Siegward. Take it up, then run past the blue doors to another hall. Now leave the area and come back, and proceed past the one giant surrounded by slimes, and keep going until you find an elevator. While on ground level of the cathedral, raise up both giant walls from the water. This can happen at various points in the game, the earliest being in the Cathedral of the Deep.
Step 4 - This next step requires you to meet Unbreakable Patches. Speak to him if you wish, but currently you can't help him. Optional Step 3 - Just outside of the Cleansing Chapel bonfire, turn right and you'll see a well. Speak to him after to get the Toast Emote, some Siegbrau, and after speaking again, the Sleep Emote. He will grumble, but then soon follow and help you kill it.
Speak with him, then run and attack the demon.
Do so, then walk to the roof to see Siegward. As you ride down, you'll see a wooden walkway you can jump to. Ride this one, and half way up you will hear Siegward. Step on the elevator button but quickly roll off before it moves. Step 2 - Go back up the elevator and he is gone. You can take this to the top of the tower and speak with the Giant Archer to form a truce. You can solve this problem by stepping on the lift and then moving off as the lift goes down, causing another lift to appear from above. Step 1 - Arriving at the far tower of the Undead Settlement, where Siegward will appear coming out of a lift and complaining that it only goes down - and that he can't find a way up.
